What Freedom Session has meant to me? The difference between life and death. Exaggeration? Not at all. I couldn't have asked for (because I couldn't have imagined) the level of hope and health I now enjoy.

Freedom Session has given our church the tools we need to effectively help the broken and wounded in a practical way, leading them to freedom and healing. The Freedom Session process of working the steps is completely different than any other step work I've done before. It has been life changing for me and literally hundreds of people in our church.

I love the way Freedom Session brings everyone together in large group and then addresses individual recovery themes in small group. Each year, people that would never willingly be in the same room at the same time find that Christ's forgiveness and healing is not just for them but also for those that they've despised, maybe even some who represent the very root of their personal pain/grief. The transformations process is miraculous - peoples' countenances change (how they sit, walk, talk, even how they dress changes!). I wish I could take "before and after" Freedom Session pictures of each participant.

The Participant's Guide workbooks thought provoking and easy to understand, biblical, yet practical. They provide a teaching outline, directions and questions for small group discussion. They encourage each participant who takes it seriously to dig deep during the week in a weekly homework assignment. Even our facilitators who've "graduated" from the program start over with a new book each year and find an even deeper level of healing.

I am grateful to Jesus Christ and Freedom Session for showing me how to use my the pain of my own life to help others find healing in ways beyond my dreams or imagination!

We have tried a number of recovery programs over the years with varying results, none of which were satisfying for me as a pastor. Then we were introduced to Freedom Session in 2004, tried it, and found that the program very effective. I believe that Freedom Session should be available for everyone, not just addicts. It is the best program that we have come across.
